Americans have watched in horror as the violent liberal extremists known as Antifa attacked conservatives, threw bricks at police and set cars ablaze. Their thuggery and criminal activities has not been denounced by national Democratic leaders, and for good reason. Antifa members are a criminal wing of the Democratic Party, and they take their cues from the top.
During the 2017 U.C. Berkeley riots, antifa showed up 1,000 strong, clad in black masks and effectively shut down conservative speech. Police and officials with Democrat affiliations and even Antifa ties, withdrew security allowing the violence to escalate. In Sanctuary California, lawlessness rules the day.
It’s no surprise that the culpable left-leaning media dubs these street thugs “counter-protestors” and often portrays them as victims. It’s no surprise because Democrats such as Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters call the shots on the West Coast.
Pelosi’s district neighbors the Berkeley campus and she was slow and less than exuberant about discouraging further violence after the riots. Her words were viewed as a charade, that lacked the candor and force of her “resist” and “obstruct” marching orders. Antifa after all, like the founding members of the Klu Klux Klan, are Democrats.
While Democrat leaders remained eerily silent as Berkeley burned, Rep. Waters recently came out of the shadows and proved her party’s desire to leave political debate behind as she calls for what amounts to blood in the streets. Maxine Waters has declared open season on conservatives.
On the heels of a left-wing restaurant owner in Lexington, Virginia refusing to serve White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her group, Democrats have renewed calls for violence and harassment.
Rep. Waters, known for her extremism, asked for other like-minded thugs to publicly confront members of the Trump Administration.
“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters reportedly said, masking her speech in the guise of child separations. “The people are going to turn on them. They’re going to protest. They’re going to absolutely harass them until they decide that they’re going to tell the president, ‘No, I can’t hang with you.’”
Clearly Waters has taken this moment to fan the flames of violence that tore the country apart in 2017. She knows full well that the child separation protocol was made into law by disgraced Pres. Bill Clinton and peaked under ex-Pres. Obama, whose administration separated nearly 90,000 children from illegal immigrant parents.
Waters’ calls to “harass” are consistent with the support Antifa garnered from the likes of Democratic National Committee Deputy Chair Keith Ellison.
Ellison, a Minnesota congressman, Tweeted out support for the criminal liberal wing of the party with a photo of him holding a copy of “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook.” The work is widely regarded as a manifesto for the masked group who perpetuate violence on American streets.
The White House press secretary is not the only Republican official that Democrats are targeting publicly.
In recent weeks, Kirtsjen Nielsen, the first women to hold the high office of secretary of the Department Homeland Security, was met by an angry mob at a Mexican restaurant. After being repeatedly harassed, she left. This type of behavior has been endorsed by Democrat leadership as their “resistance” movement heats up into the midterm elections.
Florida Republican Attorney General Pam Bondi was similarly confronted when leaving a Tampa movie theater.
“If (Waters) wants people to protest that’s one thing, but they are trying to start a fight,” Bondi reportedly said. “I’m not going to change my life, that’s what they want.”
Sick-minded Hollywood names such as Peter Fonda are also fanning the flames of violence. The former counterculture star who was once a peace icon recently made this heinous Tweet: “Rip Barron Trump from his mother’s arms and put him in a cage with pedophiles.”
But the impact of the left’s violence-inciting rhetoric is best symbolized by House Majority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana who was shot by a crazed Democrat while practicing for the annual Congressional Baseball Game.
The Democrats of another era founded the Klu Klux Klan and hid behind white sheets. Today, they hide behind black masks. The only thing that has changed about Democrat leaders is the color of their disguise.
