Democrats “Blue Wave” Looking More Like A Ripple After AZ Loss

As Democrats continue to crow about Pres. Donald J. Trump’s seemingly low approval ratings in anticipation of a giant “Blue Wave” that will sweep Republicans out of the majority, it doesn’t appear surf’s up.

Since the former reality TV star and billionaire won the White House with more than 300 electoral votes, the left has touted every special election as a “referendum on Trump.” The stinging problem for left wing extremists is that core Republicans associated with the president appear unbeatable as a recent Arizona proved yet again.

Blue Wave Goes Down The Drain in Arizona

Following the resignation of Arizona Rep. Trent Franks, one of the top state senators stepped into a recent special election. Republican Debbie Lesko went head-to-head with Democrats Hiral Tipirneni amid rallying cries from the DNC that the Blue Wave was at hand. Historically, the party that holds the White House generally loses ground in off-year elections, and Arizona was a place Democrats believed they could make up ground.

Dubbed another referendum on Pres. Trump and claiming Americans are disgruntled with White House policies and Congressional Republicans, Arizona’s 8th District election was squarely under the national microscope. Lesko was fully endorsed by Pres. Trump, who called her a true conservative Republican.

The big Blue Wave turned into a ripple when Lesko won, garnering more than 52 percent of the vote. Stunned Democrats and fake news outlets have turned their focus to the margin of victory as a measure that Democrats are on the mend. Unfortunately, anyone who follows sports knows that losing the Super Bowl by four points doesn’t make you a champion. What makes matters even worse for national Democrats is the fact that if special elections were an NFL season, they wouldn’t even make the playoffs.

Search For The Mythic Big Blue Wave

Since the 2016 elections, Democrats have faltered at nearly every opportunity to regain congressional seats. Pres. Trump has proudly remarked that candidates he’s supported are 5-0 in special elections.

“The truth is, people love us … they haven’t figured it out yet,” Pres. Trump said touting his string of wins.

In Georgia, Democrats poured upwards of $30 million into a campaign only to come up empty. Republicans won both in elections as expected and staved off Democrats in uncertain regions. The left didn’t win a contested seat until allegations of sexual misconduct dogged former judge Roy Moore in Alabama.

Moore was not endorsed by Pres. Trump or the GOP leadership initially. Although Moore was considered too controversial and some claims against him were disproved, the roll out of young women accusing him thwarted his long-shot bid — hardly a referendum on Trump or a Blue Wave.

In March, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz once again won the Republican nomination for Senate, garnering more than 1.3 million of a possible 1.5 million votes. On the other side of the aisle, Sen. Cruz pointed out that the Blue Wave may be more myth than reality.

“The early vote numbers were quite good for Democrats, but at the end of the night I was very gratified to win over 85 percent of the vote and to win 1.3 million votes,” Cruz reportedly said. “Which is more than double what my Democratic opponent got. That doesn’t quite fit the narrative that a lot of folks in the media want to tell.”

Even the few wins that Democrats have gotten in recent months appear to run contrary to a Blue Wave.

Pennsylvania Democrat Runs Against Party, And Wins!

In a recent special election, upstart Democrat Connor Lamb did the unthinkable. He tailored his campaign to impugn the policies and positions of party leaders such as Nancy Pelosi.

In a winning bid, Lamb basically denounced Pelosi and called for new and centrist Democrat leadership in the House. He adopted middle of the road positions, and even aligned himself with Pres. Trump’s economic agenda. What national Democrats had hoped to be a referendum on Trump and the makings of a Blue Wave turned into a referendum on Pelosi. Candidates appear to be backing away from the “resist” and “obstruct” agenda.

National Democrats may want to be wary of what they ask for. The Blue Wave appears to be nothing more than a ripple so far. But if that tide rises, it could be the far-left leadership that gets swept out to sea.

  1. What do the democrats stand for, what is there cure for Americans, not illegals. I know they want open borders, a looser, they want to raise taxes, a looser and more regulations, a looser. Name some things that would help Americans and move the country forward.

  2. The only blue wave will be the one that sweeps even more Demoncraps out of office. We the People are sick and tired of their lies and attempted bribes with all of the freebies at tax payer expense. They shouldn’t have kept running their mouths saying that the American Voters were too stupid to know what is good for us.

  3. Looks a ripple to me. LOL. Can’t wait for November to see these hypocritical idiots crushed!

    • We must get out and vote like never before. Democrats will not go down easy and will resort to their usual tactics of using illegals and dead people to fill the ballot boxes.

  4. Lets all keep praying to God, like we did for Trump to beat HRC. That may be a behind the scenes factor no pole or Dem believes in, but evangelicals ! I believe it helped in 2016 ! !

  5. i tried to share this on fb and they wont let me cause its been marked as offensive

  6. Republicans and independents can not afford to be complacent. They must come out in record numbers to vote in November. Complacency or apathy can put the socialist democrats back in control of Congress.

  7. What we need is a “red tsunami”. We can’t just win, we need to “crush”. No mercy, no compassion, no compromise.

  8. No MERCY is absolutely correct. Pray and Vote. Liberals don’t believe in the one true God. Praying won it for DJT. I tell all my conservative friends and family to vote. I remind them on the day and remind them were they are to vote and when their polling places are open. If we all do that, we can Crush the liberals. We need a huge majority, oh and get rid of as many RINOs as possible. VOTE, Vote Vote!!!!

  9. Right on, Kim – voting is the only answer. Republicans – get out and vote!! Vote for Republicans! We must not sit by and let our complacency take over. This is important!! Do you really want a bunch of Democrat foreigners running our country? WE MUST STOP THIS TAKEOVER NOW!!
