Former Vice President and presumed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has announced that he is creating a climate change panel that will be co-chaired by progressive firebrand Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and former Secretary of State John Kerry.
The move is a transparent attempt to help the “centrist” Democrat win over disillusioned Bernie Sanders supporters that didn’t vote for him in the primary. Other members of the panel include Rep. Kathy Castor, Catherine Flowers, who founded the Center for Rural Enterprise and Environmental Justice; Gina McCarthy, the CEO of the National Resources Defense Council; and Sunrise Movement co-founder Varshini Prakash.
The board has been labeled the “Climate Dream Team for Democrats.” However, a closer look at the goals of the people on it make it clear that the board aims to totally remake the United States and put millions of people out of work.
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez famously outed the true climate change agenda when she revealed her draft of the “Green New Deal” — a radical piece of legislation that would cut down major parts of the economy to reduce emissions. The airline industry would be trashed, as would the oil industry as the bill effectively bans their use. Homeowners would be forced to completely renovate their houses to make them “environmentally friendly.” The cost of beef would skyrocket, and the agricultural sector would be gutted.
At the same time, these progressives have pushed for universal basic income to make it easy for people who don’t want to work to sit around doing as they please at others’ expense. Taxes on rich, productive citizens and corporations would go through the roof, leading to a massive exodus of the nation’s wealthiest individuals and companies.
In short, the economy would be a disaster if some of the people on the former VP’s climate change panel had their way.
Granted, it’s hard to say if Biden intends to follow the advice given by members of his panel. There is a very real chance that the move is not about generating meaningful legislation, but rather appealing to angry Sanders’ supporters who are still not on board with voting for a so-called “centrist” — that is, a Democrat who isn’t an open socialist.
The fact that Biden took care to select members from the swing states of Florida and Michigan makes it clear this about the election, not climate policy. But, this isn’t even Biden’s biggest problem right now. As anyone who has seen his live-streamed “rallies” could tell you, the former VP simply isn’t up to the task of being President of the United States.
He is constantly stumbling through live events, recently proclaiming that “millions” of people in the United States have died from COVID-19 when the numbers are still in the tens of thousands. He continually forgets the names of important people and events, doesn’t remember dates or time periods, and has even told people that he is running for Senate.
There is a very real chance that, if Biden manages to win the upcoming presidential election, the people he surrounded himself with during the campaign — including Rep. Ocasio-Cortez — will be the real people in charge.
I view our next election pretty much the same way as our previous one with a choice of Hillary or Donald. Hillary would simply be a continuation of obamanomics which was a horrendous malaise of our economy. Donald promised something else. Donald’s economy took off like a rocket and lowered our unemployment while telling other countries we were not going to be exploited anymore. Now we are faced with another choice….Joe, who would certainly return us to obamanomics or worse under the new green deal or Donald who has a proven track record of getting our country working again.seems to me to be a pretty simple and obvious choice.

Well, that’s a ‘given ‘. It’s obvious from the folks who he announced on his ‘ team ‘ that his administration would essentially be an extension of the OB admin ( his role would be similar in that he would be a figurehead ).

I definitely agree that the choice should be an easy one however I’m amazed at the number of people that are embracing communism and the horrible life that it comes with. The complete and total hatred of our president by the new commie party still amazes me. They dont give a shit about who gets hurt including America and her people in their quest for money and power in that order. I am not a citizen of the USA but I have been following the utter foolishness of the Dems since Mr. Trump was elected, just to let you all know I had a friend who was diagnosed with fast onset Alzheimers and was totally bedridden within 4 months, Mr. Biden may have the same illness and if so he will not even be able to run by November.
