The state of California is facing a lawsuit over a ban on government employees traveling to American states with “anti-LGBT” laws on their books.
California politicians are furious that they can’t stop other states from allowing faith-based foster care agencies to act according to their religious beliefs. To get revenge, they have banned official employee travel to states that won’t bend to their wishes. Thankfully, one of these states, Texas, isn’t willing to put up with far-left intolerance, and is suing to have California’s law discarded.
If Texas’ suit is successful, the ban on California’s law would apply to all eleven states on California’s “Do Not Travel” list. Furthermore, it would also impact other, similar “Do Not Travel” laws created by liberal states such as New York.
California starting creating its discriminatory travel laws back in 2017. North Carolina was specifically targeted for controversial legislation that would have forced transgender people to use the bathroom that matches their biology rather than their gender identity. Other states were added to California’s hit list over the years because, as California Attorney General Xavier Becerra stated, the state did not want to use its money to fund states with “anti-LGBTQ” laws on the books.
Many of these so-called “anti-LGBTQ” laws are specifically created to protect freedom of religion and speech, values enshrined as law in the First Amendment of the Constitution. Texas’ law, for instance, would prevent far-left activists from forcing Christian foster care agencies and adoption agencies to place children with transgender and gay couples. These same couples are not banned from fostering or adopting children — plenty of other agencies throughout the state are prepared to help.
As Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton rightly noted, California’s travel pan is nothing more than an excuse to discriminate against religious people.
While it remains to be seen how the case will play out, the fact that it has been filed in the United States Supreme Court means that the State of Texas could very well wind up as the winner. The court has already shown that is willing to stand up for religious individuals who are bullied by supposedly “tolerant” LGBTQ activists.
Texas, along with the nearly one dozen other states that have opted to protect the freedom of conscience for their people, may be able to take California and its liberal counterparts down a notch. Sadly, there is no way to reverse the sheer derision secular progressives have for religious Americans. Clearly, their minds are made up, and that is never going to change as long as these twisted ideas persist in our culture.
I hope Texas wins because California is getting so far left it should fall into the ocean and no one would miss them.

All laws or rules that are supposed to give anything to the people that consider themselves to be or are considered to be part of what is referred to as the LGBTQ community are crazy, because you are making society accept these peoples mental problems as if they are normal which they are not. Looking at it from a layman’s legal view (I’m not a lawyer, just play one on the internet), I believe that no state is allowed to restrict commerce with another state or restrict commerce throughout the nation. In other words, no duties or tariffs can be levied between these United States or restraint of trade is allowed, as is the case between nations. I hope that this is the legal hook that the Supreme Court uses to nullify the onerous California law. On the other hand, the Constitution reserves the right of States to make laws not made at the federal level. I’m hoping that the former case is the stronger one. You can bet that the Court’s leftist wing will hold California law constitutional. How? Just because…they tow the lefty line with no sound rationale.

Maybe we should reduce California to territory status and them divide them up into two or three sections and let those sections re enter the United States as new states and keep the rest, including Hollyweird and other such places, as territories with no representation in Congress. I know that no doubt can’t be done, but it sounds good.

Texas may be able to sue Mexifornia (and hopefully win) in the courts but we, as individuals, have the right to choose which States we spend our hard earned vacation Dollars in. Therefore, I choose to NOT spend any of my vacation time, or my vacation dollars in any of these liberal bastions of hate and gay lovers! They can rot and fall into the sea and I wouldn’t donate a penny to help save them. You keep electing idiots and allowing illegals to take over your State, so I have no sympathy for you! If Texas wins, (hopefully), it will set a presedent for other states to sue. It takes longer but once you get it on the books it’s worth it.
I too live in California …..I would love for California to turn Red … If it wasn’t for my job I would be moving to Texas… I see a lot of American flags on the cars out here there’s more Republicans in California than people think… Especially Northern California area…. Between we the people voting for Trump and as many as Republicans we can for California I just hope that Trump comes into California and cleans up the swamp.
