CNN Anchor Accidentally Admits the TRUTH About Migrant Detention Centers

President Donald Trump receives more than his fair share of biased news coverage on the mainstream media networks. Whenever he feels he’s been slighted, the president famously calls the coverage fake news. Left-leaning CNN has been on the receiving end of this label numerous times. This reality is what makes a recent admission by one of the media outlet’s anchors shocking.

In a segment on June 25, 2019, CNN anchor John King owned up to what many who oppose Trump won’t admit regarding migrant child detention.

“I just want to remind people, that under president Trump, Democrats don’t like anything he says about immigration, he’s had problems with his own party on immigration,” he said. “But this particular issue is not new. I just want to go back, this is an interview, going back to 2014, with the then-Democratic president of the United States. There are some Democrats who come to the table and say Trump created this crisis, this is all about Trump. Alright, maybe it escalated under Trump, the numbers are certainly higher under Trump, but this has been a problem the United States government has had to figure out a solution to, for a very long time.”

King then played a recorded video of Obama when he was the commander in chief in 2014. In the clip, Obama commented about the issue of unaccompanied migrant kids. The former president said, “The problem is is that under current law, once those kids come across the border, there’s a system in which we’re supposed to process them, take care of them until we can send them back.” Obama added, “Oh, our message absolutely is don’t send your children unaccompanied on trains, or through a bunch of smugglers, that is our direct message to families in Central America, do not send your children to the borders. If they do make it, they’ll get sent back…”

After airing the snippet, the CNN journalist said, “That is five years ago this week, that’s five years ago this very week.” King stated, “In the sense that again, there’s a current divide, the current president evokes emotions among Democrats. A lot of progressive weren’t too happy with that president, President Obama, they called him the deporter-in-chief.” In conclusion, the anchor commented, “But this issue has been unresolved, different pieces of it, for 25 plus years. About unaccompanied children, that’s a clip from five years ago this week.

Liberals like to blame Trump for everything bad happening around the world. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Democrats seemingly enjoy placing the blame solely on Trump for the crises occurring at the U.S. southern border. That is, when something bad happens at the border and is saturated in the immediate news coverage afterwards. When nothing is being reported about the continuing saga, liberals appear to pretend the crisis is manufactured. Of course, they say Trump is making it all up.

Count Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in this camp. This week, Schumer stood in front of a widely-circulated photo of a migrant father and his young daughter who drowned while attempting to come into the country illegally while proclaiming that the President’s “actions at the border are a whirlwind of incompetence leading to pictures like this.”

“We’ve got to change our policies. So, president Trump, if you want to know the real reason there’s chaos at the border, look in the mirror,” Sen. Schumer said. “Mr. President, you are president of the United States. You are head of the executive branch. You control what’s happening at the border. And much of what’s happening at the border, President Trump, stems from the chaos and mismanagement in your administration.”

Unsurprisingly, according to TheBlaze, “just a few months ago — contrary to warnings from the administration and the growing number of asylum-seeking border crossers — Schumer said that there was no humanitarian crisis at the border, and accused the president of using ‘the backdrop of the Oval Office to manufacture a crisis, stoke fear, and divert attention from the turmoil in his administration.’”

Unlike Schumer and others, the CNN anchor made the point that the current catastrophe occurring at the border didn’t originate with Trump. Kudos to King for daring to speak truth to the situation, especially during one of left-leaning CNN’s broadcasts.
