Impeachment Forever: Did Pelosi Stoke A 25th Amendment Firestorm To Target Trump or Biden?

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi recently pitched a commission designed to expand congressional power to replace a sitting president should the office-holder become “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”

The move has energized the Democrats’ extremist base in what appears to be another cheap shot at President Donald Trump on the heels of his coronavirus recovery. But political insiders are equally convinced Pelosi and her far-left colleagues are laying the groundwork for a coup against Joe Biden should he win the November election.

“This is not about President Trump. He will face the judgment of the voters, but he shows the need for us to create a process for future presidents,” the California Democrat reportedly said. “The public needs to know the health condition of the president.”

The Speaker has been consistently out-maneuvered by President Trump for nearly four years, and resigns herself to issuing insults, false accusations, and low blows. Contriving legislation to pry into the president’s health and wellbeing appears consistently with the Russia hoax and phony impeachment hearings. The Speaker implied she was trying to undermine the Trump Administration by speaking to the press about this 25th Amendment issue promptly after question the president’s fitness.

By that same token, Pelosi would require the president’s signature to craft a new law. The Senate would never pass, nor would President Trump sign such an absurdity. The only plausible alternative at her disposal would be to empower a new committee to further harass the White House. That is unless her primary target isn’t the populous Republican president at all. Trump, who has been one step ahead of Pelosi, believes the Speaker plans to take advantage of Biden’s declining cognitive powers.

“Crazy Nancy Pelosi is looking at the 25th Amendment in order to replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris,” President Trump tweeted. “The Dems want that to happen fast because Sleepy Joe is out of it!!!”

In the event a president becomes incapacitated, the office falls to the vice president. The Obama-era number two brokered alliances with socialists such as Senator Bernie Sanders and New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) to push the far-left agenda in exchange for their voter support. Biden recently distanced himself from the liberal wing of the party by flipflopping on issues such as fracking and the Green New Deal. The Democrat now openly refuses to support the notion of adding justices to the U.S. Supreme Court to re-establish a liberal majority, given the inevitable confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett.

Pelosi has been a career politician for nearly 40 years and a member of Congress since 1987. She’s represented three California districts during that time and chaired the California Democratic Party. It’s quite conceivable that a 25th Amendment commission is a means to oust Biden and replacing him with Senator Kamala Harris. The vice-presidential candidate’s policy views remain in lockstep with the fringe left. Sleepy Joe Biden may want to rethink backstabbing the Democratic Party’s base.
