Leftists Deface Pennsylvania Church with Pro-abortion Graffiti

Recently, multiple states including Georgia, Ohio, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Alabama have passed strict abortion laws prohibiting pregnant women from getting the gruesome procedure after a fetal heartbeat is detected. While pro-life advocates welcome the change, pro-choice supporters are infuriated. Discourse in the country surrounding this controversial subject is seemingly reaching a boiling point. Last weekend, leftists went so far as to deface a Pennsylvania church with pro-abortion graffiti.

Reportedly, the alleged criminals committed the heinous act at Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church located in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. They purportedly spray-painted graffiti on the house of worship’s façade and front doors. A man noticed the vandalism shortly after nine in the morning on May 19, 2019.

The pro-abortion comments read, “You do not have the right to decide what people can do. #ProChoice.”

When he discovered the vile remarks, the man alerted the church’s pastor. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the suspected vandals also wrote “#ProChoice” on one of the church’s exterior walls.

TheBlaze reported that Father Joseph Devlin informed the local authorities about the unfortunate incident. The Philadelphia Inquirer noted that “The principal at the adjacent church school accessed security video of the vandalism in progress and handed it over to investigators.”

Later on Sunday, the house of worship’s parishioners went to the building to remove the vandalism. Jessica Prince, one of them, told CBS3, “It was very shocking to come up to the church and see that. I’d have to say the first half of mass was me crying the whole time because I was so upset somebody would do that to the church.”

“If people wanted to come and stand outside our church and protest our beliefs, go for it, but vandalizing a property, I think, is taking it way too far,” Prince added.

Across the country, pro-choice advocates have been taking to the streets to protest the more stringent abortion laws several states have recently passed. On May 21, abortion activists stormed the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court to show their support for Roe v. Wade and “reproductive justice” according to TheBlaze. Both Democratic lawmakers and 2020 Democratic presidential hopefuls participated in the event. The conservative media outlet reported the liberals particularly displayed angst toward the Supreme Court and recently appointed Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Apparently, the fact the new laws were passed by states didn’t deter them.

U.S. Senator Mazie Hirono, a Democrat from Hawaii, shared an especially troublesome exchange she had with school children in her home state.

“I just left 60 eighth-graders from a public school in Hawaii, and I told them I was coming to a rally in front of the Supreme Court, and they said, ‘Why?’ I said it’s because we are — we have to fight for abortion rights, and they knew all about it,” she said. “I asked the girls in that group of eighth graders: How many of you girls think that government should be telling us, women, when and if we want to have babies? Not a single one of them raised their hands.”

After receiving loud cheers from the protestors, the Senator added, “And then, the boys who were there among the 60, I told them, you know, it’s kind of hard for a woman to get pregnant without you guys. They got it.”

Hirono revealed that she inquired of the male students, “How many of you boys think that government should be telling girls and women when and if we’re going to have babies? And not a single one of them raised their hand.”

When 2020 Democratic presidential candidate U.S. Senator Cory Booker got up to speak, he remarked that there can “be no neutrality” where abortion is concerned. Booker asked the crowd, “Do you stand with freedom, or do you stand with tyranny? Do you stand with self-determination, or do you stand with the kind of laws that take away liberty, that take away freedom, that take away your own economic choices? This is an assault on the ideals of our nation.”

If all the aborted babies had a voice, they would likely tell the New Jersey Senator that the abortions their mothers had were an assault on them.
