Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin is rejecting calls from Democrat-run states for more federal bailout money, stating plainly that said governments shouldn’t be rewarded for spending their funds recklessly.
Predictably, the media narrative is once again suggesting that there is no other reason for the Trump Administration to take this position other than out of a position of greed and vengeance. But, let’s take a deeper look at the issue. The truth is that shelling out the blank checks Democrats from states like California want would be a slap in the face to states like Florida that were able to mitigate the effects of the novel coronavirus without going bankrupt.
We’ve been tracking the dishonesty and inconsistency of the progressive left with special attention ever since candidate Donald Trump and his wife came down that golden escalator preceding the 2016 election. In that time, we have documented the dis-earnest tactics of the anti-Trump Democrats as well as “never-Trumper” Republicans. One of the most outstanding phenomena we have noticed is the fact that Democrat policies have an overwhelming tendency to impoverish those living in their districts. This fact applies more to black Americans than to any other group. Though women, Hispanics, and other minorities are also disproportionally affected.
Black Americans living in Democrat strongholds are overwhelmingly worse off than those living in Republican-run cities and states. Admittedly, this is nothing new. We can trace the trend back to the early 1900s – if not all the way back to slavery.
But economically disastrous Democrat policies don’t just affect blacks and the poor. They affect entire cities and states. The direst case in point is a close tie between the human-feces-covered San Fransisco, the Tent-city littered downtown streets of LA, and the bullet-riddled ghettos of Chicago. All of this destitution, poverty, homelessness, drug addiction, and filth are the direct results of Democrat policies that ignore crime, disincentivize gainful employment, and wage war on the integrity of the family unit.
Now, predictably, the Democrats are asking for handouts from the Trump Administration to save them from their own ineptitude. Early on in the coronavirus epidemic, President Donald Trump made it clear that he would not bail out the leaders of states and cities that were suffering as a result of their intentionally bad policies.
Now, the President’s Treasury Sectary, Steve Mnuchin, has echoed this sentiment.
In an interview with Fox News Sunday, Mnuchin said, “We’ve been clear that we’re not going to bail out states that are poorly managed. We want to make sure that before we jump back in and spend another trillion worth of taxpayer dollars that we do it carefully. We’re willing to spend whatever it takes – but spend it carefully.”
He went on to comment that there is an unacceptable risk in not re-activating the economy. This is a subject that has been on the minds of conservatives who understand how wealth is created. Jobs from which people have been laid off will lose relevance as their customer base continues to be unattended to. This is due to the simple fact that when a product or service is no longer available, buyers tend to find other ways to fill the need — or become accustomed to doing without.
“There’s a considerable risk of not reopening, you’re talking about what would be permanent economic damage to the American public,” Mnuchin added. “We’re going to reopen in a very thoughtful way that gets people back to work safely, that has them at the appropriate social distance.”
In the meantime, Democrats and progressives have busied themselves accusing those who wish to reopen the economy of “wanting people to die.”
It’s almost as if Democrats want to get paid to not work or something.

The Republican states saw the “good times” as a way to save for the “bad times.” The Demokratz saw the “good times” as never ending.
This reminds me of the story of the “Little Red Hen.” She went out to find workers to prepare her fields for planting. The potential workers were too busy to work. I can remember before the Democrats invaded Montana, and it government,Billings was a great city, and without worry to walk the side walks and at any time of day, and not lock your doors in your house or car. Now with rampant theft, assaults and transient population ,it has turned Billings into a Rat Hole and none of the public’s freedoms exist any longer. The police department ,after a major theft at my house, found the the thief, but did nothing, and to break the law again! And it happened again! Stealing property that the thief could get some change for at the local Pawn shop, scrap yard! Even the county law, was connected to firearm theft,and you can guess where that lead! To a dead end, until I saw the at a local dealer 7 years later, and then retrieved , with resistance from that same agency, but court resolved that issue. But this is where the Dems are leading this country!

Logic would tell you that those States with the highest population growth should have the biggest percentage of wage earners to support these States with income taxes, yet the truth is when the population of these States are unemployed, on welfare, or homeless this can not be true. I first started voting Democrat because I understood the importance of Labor Rights and Personal Rights for a free society, however the Democrat Party I registered with to defend these Rights no longer exists. The Democrat Party has become what our Founding Fathers feared the most, the Party of Big Brother where government makes all the decisions without input from the people. It is politics that requires these initials after their names. Slavery in any form is evil, yet our government has made it’s people Political Slaves. Think about it. With every new regulation or restriction that removes our freedoms as citizens, more and more of our FREEDOM IS DIMINISHED. In less than 300 years the people of the US has become Political Slaves to the Legislative System. Had politicians not distorted our US Constitution for Political Gain this would have never happened. The First Amendment to our US Constitution starts out with the statement : “Congress shall make no law respecting…..”, yet Congress has made laws without the written power of our US Constitution to do so. A teacher in most NY counties makes over 100K a year after a few years of service. In Florida, the average is about half that. Understand of course that Individual counties salary/benefits are different and go up and down, so the figures I gave are only general averages. Now here is the 64,000 dollar question. Why should a teacher in Florida pay the vast difference in her salary and pension to the salary and pension of the NY teacher? These examples go on and on regardless of job specification.
