National Security at Risk: China Engaged In Strategic Negotiations With Taliban

The Biden Administration’s failure to ensure the Afghanistan government could fend off the Taliban resulted in the worst Middle East catastrophe since the rise of ISIS. Joe Biden bragged on the campaign trail how he was responsible for the previous withdrawal. He appears unable to comprehend that thousands died, and women were subjected to immeasurable cruelty at the hands of ISIS insurgents. The recent fall of Kabul and chaotic evacuation may have even more dire consequences.

The Taliban took to the streets chanting “Death to America” and will surely invite terrorist organizations to train and plot against the U.S., just as Osama bin Laden did. But an even larger national security danger looms as the Chinese Communist Party engages the Islamic extremists in strategic negotiations.

What the dishonest media fails to effectively report is that during the Obama-Biden years, the White House pandered to climate cults and destroyed the rare earth metals mining industry with onerous regulations and trade deals with China. As a result, the U.S. has grown frightening reliant on the communists for rare earth elements necessary to operate military defense systems and everyday technologies.

Although former President Donald Trump worked diligently to bring the country back from the brink of a rare earth famine, the country still relied on China for upwards of 80 percent of these minerals in 2019. It may come as something of a surprise to the Biden Administration, but Afghanistan ranks among the richest rare earth mining areas on the planet. Recent estimates place Afghanistan’s troves at $1 to $3 trillion.

Communist negotiators dispatched from Beijing have little interest in the human rights violations carried out by the Taliban. Instead, their narrow focus will reportedly involve furthering national security interests. Mining and trade rank high on China’s list as the Asian superpower leap-frogs a U.S. economy thrust into inflation by Biden Administration policy mistakes. Beijing is no longer trying to out-bid America for these vital mining elements. That’s largely because the fall of Afghanistan pushed the U.S. out of the region.

One of the caveats that Biden’s cronies don’t like to discuss is the fact America once led the world in rare earths. That was until overzealous climate, and environmental officials targeted mining at large. Obama and Biden waged open warfare against the coal-mining industry and rare earth operations were collateral damage, to a large degree.

These days, Biden’s backward policies have climate cultists such as John Kerry leading discussions on reducing the country’s reliance on China. Keep in mind, left-wing extremists such as Kerry upended this national security issue in the first place. They aren’t concerned with military radar systems failing. John Kerry and his minions are worried they won’t meet electric car goals because China possesses the rare earth dominance America once enjoyed.

Given the resistance from liberal extremist Democrats and the unelected bureaucrats running agencies such as the EPA, industry insiders anticipate it would take more than a decade to recreate America’s rare earths. China is brokering a deal with the Taliban and considering an invasion of Taiwan as we speak. The White House’s foreign policy and military disaster is yet another step toward China supplanting the U.S. as the world’s most powerful country before Joe Biden’s term expires.
