House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Sunday that she will once again attempt to try to impeach President Donald Trump if he tries to do his job and nominate a Supreme Court Justice to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg after her recent death.
Pelosi said that Ginsburg’s death made it more important than ever for the American people to get out and vote in the presidential election in November. ABC News host George Stephanopoulos commented that even if Democratic nominee Joe Biden wins and the Democrats gain control of the Senate, the president and Senate Republicans might still attempt try to get a nominee confirmed.
He recognized the game the Dems are discussing and said, “some have mentioned the possibility” of moving to impeach either Trump or Attorney General William Barr “as a way of stalling and preventing the Senate from acting on this nomination.”
Dems have also touted that Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s final wish included thoughts about her former position and said, ‘I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.’ Whether the deceased lawmaker actually said this is being questioned, however, it really has no bearing on the decision of the president either way.
Meanwhile, Pelosi is up to her ridiculous games again, always looking for a way to get back at President Trump for being elected and waste more of American’s time and money.
“Well, we have our options. We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now,” the disgruntled Speaker said.
“Right now, our main goal – and I think Ruth Bader Ginsburg would want that to be – would be to protect the integrity of the election as we protect the American people from the coronavirus,” she continued.
The timing of Ginsburg’s death, being less than two months before the November election, has caused commotion over naming her replacement. Democrats want Republicans to wait for a replacement until after the November election results. According to them, it would be a hypocritical act to do otherwise after denying former President Barack Obama’s nominee Merrick Garland in 2016, saying that the election was only eight months away.
Republicans argue that the situation is completely is different because they control both the White House and the Senate, and they think it would be ridiculous to leave a vacant court seat when they are participating in such a debated election where the Supreme Court might actually be requested to resolve any legal disputes that arise.
House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, (R-LA). called Pelosi’s statement “scary.”
“Pelosi is refusing to rule out impeaching @realDonaldTrump again solely to delay the Senate filling the Supreme Court vacancy,” he tweeted. “Impeachment was never about a ‘crime’ for Dems. They only care about one thing: their own power – and they’ll stop at nothing to get it,” he said of Democrat leaders.
Pelosi has also touted expanding the number of justices on the court, which is referred to as ‘court-packing’ to retaliate against the president if he adds another conservative to the bench before leaving office.

If impeachment gets tried again then hit the submitter with the Constitution Article 1 Section 5 Clsuse 2. The Constitution allows for appointments by the President anytime during the term. The Democrats know this. This isn’t bipartisan. It’s strictly personal on their side.
