This Republican Wants to IMPEACH Biden on DAY ONE

Newly-elected Georgia Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene has vowed to file articles of impeachment against incoming President-Elect Joe Biden as soon as the former VP assumes office.

Rep. Greene is one of several Republican women that swept to victory in the 2020 general election after promoting a decisively pro-Trump platform. Her intentions to direct impeachment back at Biden came of the heels of the House vote to impeach President Donald Trump for a historic second time.

With Trump being the first president in history to be hit with a second impeachment — less than a week before he’s scheduled to leave office anyway — it’s clear Democrats are using the constitutional tool as a political weapon. It appears Greene is willing to fight fire with fire.

According to Greene, Biden’s comfortable ties with the Chinese government make him unfit to hold office.

“We cannot have a president of the United States that is willing to abuse the power of the office of the presidency and be easily bought off by foreign governments, Chinese energy companies, Ukrainian energy companies,” she said.

Greene says she will file the articles of impeachment on January 21 — the day after the inauguration.

At this point, it isn’t clear if a larger number of other Republican lawmakers will follow her into this political fight. Greene also appeals herself as being outside of the establishment — in the same vein as President Trump. Like the outgoing commander-in-chief, she can expect to be railroaded by GOP leadership for the remainder of her time as a legislator. However, this seems to be a big part of why she decided to run for office in the first place.

Earlier in January, she told Newsmax that she is “tired of Republicans who lay down and allow this country to be ravaged.”

Around that same time, Greene spoke out against the move by Democrats to impeach President Trump on the charges of inciting violence — suggesting that people like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi should look into a mirror.
