Trump Backs American Ally Israel 100% In Land Disputes

President Donald Trump stood side by side with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and signed a proclamation recognizing Israel’s absolute sovereignty over the Golan Heights. The move fulfilled America’s promise to support the Jewish state established after the Holocaust, and one long overdue.

Since Israel seized the Golan Heights tract of land from Syria in a bloody war that pitted antisemitic forces against Israel in 1967, American foreign policy has been indecisive, to say the least. But under President Trump’s leadership, the U.S. has been all-in, already moving the American embassy to Jerusalem.

“Today, aggressive action by Iran and terrorist groups in southern Syria, including Hezbollah, continue to make the Golan Heights a potential launching ground for attacks against Israel — very violent attacks,” Trump said while signing the proclamation in the Oval Office. “This should have been done numerous presidents ago.”

Just as President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, Prime Minister Netanyahu, and others gathered at the White House, Israel’s military was responding to a violent rocket attack launched by Hamas from the Gaza Strip.

“Israel is responding forcefully to this wanton aggression,” Netanyahu said. “Israel will not tolerate this. I will not tolerate it.”

And the ongoing attacks on the Jewish people from multiple fronts underscores the reason that radical Muslims in the region are not suitable partners for peace negotiations.

“Hamas is a terrorist organization that seeks the destruction of Israel, and the United States will never negotiate with terrorist Hamas,” Vice President Pence said.

Israel took the Golan Heights during the Six-Day War initiated by Syria. Most of the Golan inhabitants retreated after Syrian forces were repelled, and Israel recognized a self-defense need to control Golan. The heights provide a militarily strategic high ground to monitor and defend against incursions from enemy states such as Iran and Syria. The topography also acts as a natural barrier and remains a critical source of water for the Jewish state.

In 1971, Syria launched a sneak attack that killed numerous Israelis, but was again thwarted. An armistice was signed in 1974. Israel formally annexed the Golan Heights in 1981, a move rejected by the U.N. Security Council. To date, Israel has upwards of 20,000 settlers living in the relatively small but vital area. President Trump’s declaration comes at a time when violence against Israel grows, and the American ally is in critical jeopardy.

Rogue regimes such as Iran routinely hold rallies chanting “death to Israel, death to America” and have been labeled a sponsor of terror. Iranian leaders denounced Trump’s measure.

“No one could imagine that a person in America comes and gives the land of a nation to another occupying country, against international laws and conventions,” Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said.

Extremists in Turkey also responded to Trump’s unwavering support of Israel.

“Attempts by the U.S. to legitimize Israel’s actions against international law will only lead to more violence and pain in the region,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu threatened.

“The U.N. has the final verdict on this,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said. “It is not possible for the U.N. General Assembly to approve the issue.”

U.S. acting Ambassador to the U.N. Jonathan Cohen continued the forceful and clear-headed policies set by former Ambassador Nikki Haley and the Trump Administration. His response to countries such as Turkey, Syria, Iran, and others believing they could exploit the U.N. to get leverage over Israel was blunt.

“To allow the Golan Heights to be controlled by the likes of the Syrian and Iranian regimes would turn a blind eye to the atrocities of the Assad regime and malign and destabilizing presence of Iran in the region,” Cohen said. There “can be no peace agreement that does not satisfactorily address Israel’s security needs in the Golan Heights.”

The very antisemitic statements made by radical Muslim world leaders prove President Trump’s support of Israel’s annexation of the Golan Heights is both warranted and necessary. The 100 percent support of Israel’s sovereign rights also comes as antisemitic Democrats have grown increasingly vocal in the U.S. Congress.

  1. 90% of Israeli Jews LOVE Pres. Donald Trump.
Any Jew who says Pres. Trump is anti-Semitic is most probably a Leftwing American of Jewish origin; NOT a Jew.
They don’t condemn Ilhan Omar, Keith Ellison, Rashida Tlaib, Linda Sarsour, or AOC, etc., for their blatant anti-Semitism.
But they falsely accuse the man who has enabled the USA to finally do the right thing, and recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital; moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem; and recognise our sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

We have a joke in Israel: What’s the difference between Donald Trump and the non-Religious 80% of American Jews?
Donald Trump [a proud Christian] has religiously observant Jewish grandchildren!

G-D Bless Pres. Donald Trump, Vice-Pres. Mike Pence, and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.
And G-D Bless America, for being a true friend to Israel.
G-D Blesses you for it. [Gen.12:3 and Num.24:9]

  2. God bless President Trump ! So great to have a President that has the integrity to do the right things. Disgusted with our past administrations that did nothing but politic their way through such issues. Both parties did nothing but provide worthless lip service and lacked the guts to follow through. Re the democrat party:…… A total disgraceful and despicable organization. I was a registered member for 50 years but have walked away. The party has allowed themselves to be taken over by the radical left that has capitalized on the actions of mindless partisan voters. i.e. The low informed voter who votes party name and are deficient of the issues / facts.

  3. Our potus is Right on in his backing the Israelis. And we as a nation will always need to back them , because they are the only gov. in the middle east to live by a set of laws that are democratic.

  4. SO what is it going to be in 2020; voting for a person who has KEPT his promises to his 80 million supporters or allowing a party running on ‘I hate Trump’ , 93 trillion dollar new green hoax, illegal immigration [allowing them to vote], infanticide and communism to ruin this great nation;;;;;;;;;;YOU decide.

  5. It is damned high time that was done. Now, the west bank and the Golan Heights should go with it. This was the Promised Land and Israel is damned well entitled to it. It is time they took command of that territory.
