In the latest chapter from the feud that has been unfolding since the beginning of 2016, President Donald Trump is ripping the mainstream media for purposely distorting his statements.
Earlier this month, the president delivered a speech discussing the serious issues pertaining to the U.S. southern border, the border wall, and government shutdown. Before that speech took place on Tuesday evening, Trump hosted an “off-the-record” lunch for some members of the press. It was supposed to be clear that the president was providing the press with pertinent details ahead of his speech.
The understanding was that the contents of the conversation that took place during the lunch would be considered “off-the-record.” Instead, certain members of the press who attended that lunch did not keep their promise, and leaked some details form the lunch. Needless to say, Trump was not pleased…
“Gave an OFF THE RECORD luncheon, somewhat of a White House tradition or custom, to network anchors yesterday – and they quickly leaked the contents of the meeting,” President Trump tweeted. “Who would believe how bad it has gotten with the mainstream media, which has gone totally bonkers!”
But the president wasn’t done…
“The Mainstream Media has NEVER been more dishonest than it is now,” he continued. “NBC and MSNBC are going Crazy. They report stories, purposely, the exact opposite of the facts. They are truly the Opposition Party working with the Dems. May even be worse than Fake News CNN, if that is possible!”
Then the next morning, Trump added more on Twitter in response to the rumor about Republicans not agreeing.
“There is GREAT unity with the Republicans in the House and Senate, despite the Fake News Media working in overdrive to make the story look otherwise,” he said. “The Opposition Party & the Dems know we must have Strong Border Security, but don’t want to give ‘Trump’ another one of many wins!”
One key member of the press who has had particularly negative interactions with Trump is CNN’s Jim Acosta. So, it’s no surprise that Acosta posted something negative about Trump on Twitter after Tuesday’s speech.
“In his Oval Office address… Trump is painting undocumented immigrants as criminals. This has not changed since he launched his run for the White House,” Acosta said.
Numerous people jumped all over Acosta’s comment by stating the obvious, that anyone who enters the U.S. illegally is automatically a criminal, because they are breaking the law when they come into the country illegally.
Falsely and deceptively distributing the news, not keeping promises, and getting the facts all wrong are types of practices that should be considered completely unacceptable in the media. Yet all of those happened just this week. No wonder Trump continues to call today’s media “Fake News.” They have certainly earned, and continue to earn, that title.

The best advice I can provide is do not tune in to CNN, NBC or MSNBC. If you do not tune in nor will you support their sponsors. This country does not need to concern itself with RUSSIA as CNN, NBC and MSNBC have repeatedly done more to harm this country than any foreign nation. The Democrats are childish and need to quit their HIGH SCHOOL Bull. If they only wish to obstruct and destroy, as they are and have been, need to get out of office. I will NEVER vote for a DEMOCRAT again.

Joseph, ObeyMe’s Birth Certificate was long ago proven to be forged. Of course, that still doesn’t mean that he wasn’t born in the states, but it raises a big red flag.

A reporter that does a story without facts should be held accountable that being said. They could be sued in court. No crap
They should pull Acosta’s credentials permanently. Since he doesn’t report the facts but only what he wants to without any corruberation, he does not need to be taking up space that someone would benefit from having
I remember when newsmen and those who reported the news had integrity. They reported the news as it was not how they wanted it to be. I rarely watch news anymore because I don’t believe half of what’s reported. Of the half I do consider listening to, I barely believe half of that. I still believe there are people out there who would love to share the news accurately but are forbidden by their superiors who take what’s been given by reporters and change the wording to read however they want it to read. This is not new with Trump. This fake news has been presented as truth for many years. Trump is the first to have the guts to call it what it is, FAKE! God bless Trump!

There is NO VIOLATION of the First Amendment by REQUIRING HONESTY and TRUTHFULNESS when ‘REPORTING’ the news.
Any person ‘reporting’ on camera, radio, or in print SHOULD BE LICENSED and PAID more for the slight inconvenience of being FORCED TO TELL THE TRUTH.

I watch CBS most of the time. They are the least offensive to the President and try to be factual. President Trump has been the target of Congress and the Senate doesn’t matter which party. I don’t trust any of them and neither should our President. He is not a part of the Old Boys Club and they are scared at some point he will get to all their perks and start taking them away!!! We should be so lucky!! The President is 100% right about the wall, come in legally like hundreds of thousands of others. Illegals are not special they are breaking our laws!! If the President stops the government shut-down all he can do and should do is veto anything that comes by him and hope his so called Republican allies in Congress and the Senate will not support an override.

I agree. I grew up with Uncle Walter and was sad when Fox news started spinning news and passing off opininon as fact. Now, granted, most people know that Fox is the propaganda wing of the Republican party, but now even main stream media has begun to do this to a lesser degree. On the bright side it appears that some Fox anchors have begun to hold Trump accountable

Fox News is one of the few Fair & Balanced news networks in the world.
The big difference between them and most others is they vet there sources and confirm stories before they rin them Thus sometimes they are 2nd to report sensational news to those who sensationalize all news.
That policy also makes them last in retracting in the 2nd page lies or distortions made in the Front Page.
This was true during Obama’s presidency and is ten-fold true in Trump’s – in which every day MM has feeding frenzies from self-imposed cuts.

The majority of my co-workers and neighbors believe the media 100% – and they DO vote accordingly. Many county races here in MD flipped from (R) to (d) – each by literally a few thousand votes! The right, by refusing to make inroads into the (d)’s media, are only setting themselves up for total defeat in 2020 – and you can take that to the bank!
