The mainstream media appears to be working overtime pretending that illegal immigrants are healthy, hardworking assets to the U.S. But the reality is that many are not vaccinated for infectious and deadly diseases in their home country, meaning the lives of everyday Americans are at risk.
“The large movement of people across the United States and Mexico border has led to an increase in health issues, particularly infectious diseases such as tuberculosis,” a CDC alert reportedly stated.
Mainstream media outlets have continually pointed to the rigorous health screenings conducted by the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Department of Health to claim illegals pose no health danger. But the fatal flaw in that reasoning remains that a large percentage of migrants successfully infiltrate the country without being screened. Whether those who are successful in this criminal trespass are carrying diseases such as the measles, polio, tuberculosis, or Ebola remains to be seen. The U.S., however, has seen a rise of diseases once considered erased from the landscape.
“They have come across a number of different diseases, from scabies to chicken pox to measles to mumps … they have encountered that here,” Yuma County Sheriff Leon Wilmot reportedly said. “Unfortunately, there have been some Border Patrol agents that have been exposed to these types of health issues. And when you are running through so many folks. It’s obviously an issue when they are not showing signs when they are in the custody of BP for just 24 hours.”
After the Trump Administration negotiated to keep members of massive caravans in Mexico for processing, the health department reported that many in a 6,000-strong group were infected and had to be quarantined.
“Over a third of them (2,267) are being treated for health-related issues,” a health department spokesperson said. “Three confirmed cases of tuberculosis, four cases of HIV/AIDS and four separate cases of chickenpox.”
Although biased media outlets use the health screening process as evidence everyday Americans are safe, such reports ignore the obvious. Nearly 150,000 apprehensions were made on U.S. soil. The number who escaped detection remains a mystery. But what is not open to speculation is that a growing number of migrants from countries as far away as Africa are showing up inside American borders.
“U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Del Rio Station apprehended a large group of 116 individuals (recently). This large group from Africa further demonstrates the complexity and severity of the border security and humanitarian crisis at our Southwest border,” Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz said. “This is the first large group apprehended in the Del Rio Sector and the first large group of people from Africa — including nationals from Angola, Cameroon, and Congo — apprehended on the Southwest border this year.”
Since May, more than 500 African migrants have been apprehended at the southern border. More than 300 of them were from the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country that is experiencing an Ebola epidemic that has killed over 1,300 people.
The twisted logic embedded into news reports has included the Ebola incubation period being relatively brief. The reasoning points out that the migrants travel long distanced to get to the U.S. border.
“It’s a 21-day incubation period so it’s really not possible that, if they were exposed to Ebola in the DRC, that now, six months later, they develop symptoms and infect us,” San Antonio interim City Manager Colleen Bridger said.
Ebola remains a highly contagious disease that can be passed among members of these caravans. And, Brazil recently suffered an increase in the spread of Zika, a disease that infects mothers and babies in the womb. More than 19,000 cases were reported, and the horrific disease has already made its way into the U.S.
Despite propaganda to support open borders, American lives are being placed in harm’s way. The re-emergence of measles, risk of Zika, and Ebola are very real due to the immigration crisis.
“We are doing everything we can to simply avoid a tragedy in a CBP facility,” acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan said. “But with these numbers, with the types of illnesses we’re seeing at the border, I fear that it’s just a matter of time.”
