Anyone who thought this madness was going to die with the year 2020 simply hasn’t been paying attention.
At this point, the Chinese Virus is firmly implanted into all aspects of our lives. It informs our cultural norms. It drives our politics. But more than anything else, it impacts our social relationships. And with the powerful media regularly communicating that all naysayers must be excommunicated from public life, it’s easy to see where the conversation is going.
If you’re like most Americans, you aren’t thrilled to throw on a face diaper just to walk into a CVS for a few minutes. You may not even be entirely convinced that you’re making much of a difference by doing so. But you’ll do it anyway just to avoid having a target on your back for the entire fifteen minutes you’re spending in the store.
Seriously — how many young leftists believe that they’re saving the world just by covering up their face for a little while? Well, the answer to that is definitely “higher than zero” (the brainwashing is real), but we like to think that even the average millennial is a bit smarter than that.
With COVID-19’s asymptomatic spread found to be minimal — and with even Dr. Anthony Fauci at one point arguing that face masks were unnecessary or perhaps even detrimental — it’s clear that this policy has never really been about saving lives. Mask wearing in 2020 and 2021 is about signaling your obedience to our cultural masters.
Whether leftists want to admit it or not, there is still an ongoing debate about the effectiveness of mask wearing as well as lockdown restrictions. We’ve covered both perspectives pretty extensively, so let’s take a look at how both sides are actually having these conversations.

The masks are a bunch of craziness, there is no proof that they stop anything. As we grew up we were always told to go get some fresh air, which by the way helps you to stay healthy also. What makes you think that the masks aren’t making people sick and more likely to catch the virus from lack of fresh air. You can’t tell me that it is healthy to keep breathing in the old stale air that you are exhaling, that is a bunch of nonsense. Why don’t people just take care of themselves, if they want to wear the muzzles, go ahead and wear them, but leave other people alone, they shouldn’t have to follow your desires. Would you just follow theirs if they wanted you to do something you don’t want to do, no you wouldn’t so don’t try to tell others what to do. Masks are not a healthy thing to wear!!
