President Joe Biden is still taking hits over his less-than-reputable performance during a CNN town hall last week — this time from his predecessor.
Speaking to CNN host Anderson Cooper and a live audience, Biden made a number of statements that raised some eyebrows. Much of this was the typical out-of-touch phrases we’ve come to expect from the 78-year-old commander-in-chief, such as when he suggested that black Americans didn’t know how to use the internet. Other statements can be counted as nothing less than outright lies — such as when Biden claimed that there was no vaccine for COVID-19 before he took office.
It was the Trump Administration that approved and presided over Operation Warp Speed, which fast-tracked the production of vaccines for the global pandemic from China. This included suspending the usual FDA regulations that would halt new drugs from getting to the market. President Trump’s decision to push the vaccine effort forward has likely saved hundreds of thousands of lives at this point. However, this isn’t stopping Biden from trying to take all of the credit.
The mainstream media is usually more than happy to accommodate Democrats when they make such bold-faced lies. But as President Trump mentioned on a call with Newsmax TV, even the usual suspects are having a hard time giving the new president a pass on this one.
Episodes like this raise a lot of concerns. It’s obvious that President Biden is either not very well briefed, or is perfectly comfortable with lying out of his teeth. The most likely scenario is that he isn’t actually at the helm of the country, and his close advisers or even Vice President Kamala Harris are really the ones calling the shots. Democrats weren’t exactly shy about this possibility either. President Biden himself said that his term would likely be a “transitionary” phrase for the country, essentially admitting that he’s really just there to keep Democrats nominally in power.
Hopefully, the rest of America will get tired of this charade soon.
