Why Democrats Are Suddenly Obsessed with Sex Crimes

Congressional Democrats have run out of political bullets, and lobbing sexual misconduct allegations may be their last hope.

During the Obama-era, Democrats wagged their political fingers at the GOP claiming they were the party of “No.” In many ways, that moniker held true. Republicans stood against the left-leaning policies of the White House and DNC at large. But election after election proved them right to dig in their heels. Democratic majorities have vanished, and the “No-Bama” strategy worked.

Leftists have largely tried to emulate their conservative colleagues since being stunned in the 2016 elections. The rallying cry of “Resist” and “Obstruct” is nothing more that No-Bama on steroids.

But a string of consecutive losses on key issues has left the party of “identity politics” thoroughly outgunned.

First, they lost on immigration. From the campaign to the White House, Pres. Donald J. Trump has vilified illegal immigrants. His claims that murderers, rapists, drug dealers and the like have been slipping through an under-secured border were met with mockery. Democrats supported illegals and the mainstream media went to great lengths to denounce the president’s claims. The killing of Kate Steinle, arrest of numerous felons, and the once unreported MS-13 gangland murders have revealed a dark underbelly about illegal immigrants. The president won the issue big league.

Then, they lost on the travel ban. Liberals claimed victory repeatedly as left-leaning judges disregarded hundreds of years of Constitutional and statutory law regarding the authority of the president. However, rulings from the U.S. Supreme Court have backed Pres. Trump’s travel ban in full force.

The problem for the Democratic brand is not so much being on the losing side. The primary setback is that the party has revealed itself as one of lawlessness. The willingness to disregard the law of the land to placate its voting base places them outside basic principles. Republicans have long been considered the party of “law and order,” but these high-profile losses tarnish the Democratic Party to one of total disregard. That’s an untenable position when seeking re-election.

Then, they lost on the economy. During the Obama era, pundits were able to get away with blaming the sluggish economy on the recession and global forces. That all ended the day America elected a businessman to run the show. The repeated reports of the stock market breaking records has shined a light on Dem policies that investors won’t be inclined to revisit.

Plummeting unemployment and record-setting consumer and business confidence have wounded congressional Democrats. The claims that this is all the fruits of the previous administration or natural economic growth have fallen on deaf ears. The regulatory changes, trade deal cancellations and laser focus on jobs looks like a simple math equation to average working stiffs, 1+1=money-in-your-pocket. But, the kill shot came when the GDP ratcheted up past 3 percent and may cross 4 percent in the coming months.

Finally, they lost on taxes. The recent passage of Tax Reform has the complicit Fake News media screaming that average Americans will pay more in taxes. One would truly need to be fully indoctrinated into the Cult of the Snowflake Liberal to believe that GOP senators and representatives just passed a tax hike. Let’s be serious. With no Democrats voting yea in the Senate, everyday Americans that see a little more in their paycheck will have only one party to thank. When standing in a voting booth asking, “what have you done for me lately,” the GOP has an answer — “What’s in your wallet?”

Despite the fact the widespread sexual misconduct allegations have impacted Democrats Al Franken and John Conyers, this may be the last bullet in the left’s six-shooter. The mainstream media has already rolled out the women who accused the president in the last election cycle. Whether that’s just a pathetic play to get ratings or more liberal-backing, it gives Dems at least one item to fire at the president.

Trump has refuted the claims, and none have been successfully litigated against him. That leaves the issue ongoing, although unsubstantiated. These accusations allow Democrats a loose pathway to garnering women’s votes. At least that’s the common theory.

Basically, the Democrats are attempting to make the next election cycle one of women against men, much like Hillary’s campaign. The rallying cry that Republicans are rife with misogyny and sex predators may seem ridiculous, but it’s all they have remaining. On all the other issues, Democrats got Trumped.
