Taking the Red Pill: Democrats Are Losing Support Fast

Eight years of job-killing economic policies, failure to close out the War on Terror and Hillary Clinton’s 41 excuses why she lost the November election add up to one thing . . . would-be Democrats are taking “The Red Pill” and moving right.

If you are not a Science Fiction fan, you might be asking: what exactly is “The Red Pill?”

In the “The Matrix,” star Keanu Reeves is told, “You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.”

It seems politically fitting that “blue pill” people are not aware of the true nature of reality. Taking The Red Pill, in essence, opens your eyes and provides you with the tools to make informed decisions. Clearly, this is a politically metaphor. After eight years of Obama’s “Hope” nonsense, many left-of-center voters have decided that liberal elites are not living in the same reality as hard-working everyday Americans.

The fact that deep blue “Rust Belt” voters flocked to Donald Trump is no accident, either. But how did this happen?

Reality of Red Pill Voters

The 113th U.S. Congress opened Jan. 3, 2013, to a Democrat majority in the Senate of 53 and a pair of Independents that caucused with the left. Republicans occupied the minority, holding only 45 seats. On the House side, Republicans held a modest 234-201 majority. But after four more years of hope and dreams that did little to improve the spiraling economic and security short-falls, 2016 ushered in a national trend to the right.

In 2016, the GOP increased its House numbers to 240. Voters handed them full control of the Senate at 52 seats and the White House. State governments are now dominated by 34 Republicans governors and West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice followed his constituents’ will and took The Red Pill at a Trump rally. Political pundits are already talking about Pres. Trump winning a landslide victory in 2020. The numbers, unlike Liberal double-talk, don’t lie. Voters are fleeing the Democratic Party.

Failed Policy Leads to The Red Pill Cure

In a recent Washington Post piece, the Left-leaning media source admitted that “A shockingly large percentage of these Obama-Trump voters said Democrats’ economic policies will favor the wealthy — twice the percentage that said the same about Trump.”

The WaPo piece based these tough-to-swallow positions on polling data by Priorities USA, a Democrat super PAC. The conclusions culled from Obama-held states that swung Trump indicated a growing discontent with Liberal policies. The study concluded the following:

• 50 percent of Obama-turned-Trump voters said salaries were falling behind the cost of living.
• 31 percent said their income was only keeping pace and they couldn’t get ahead.

• 42 percent of Obama-turned-Trump voters indicated that the policies of Dems in Congress favored the wealthy. Only 21 percent said Pres. Trump’s policies favor the rich.

• 77 percent of Obama-turned-Trump voters said Pres. Trump’s economic polices favor all races and economic classes equally.

It’s important to keep in mind that much of the negative data and information was not easily accessible to voters before the change in leadership. The Obama Administration routinely posted “climate change” data that claimed his job-killing regulations were necessary. Things such as the Paris Climate Accord were going to save the next generation and multi-national trade deals were in voters’ best interest.

The upwardly trending economy since Trump took office has created widespread confidence in his agenda. Digesting that once-concealed information about failed Liberal policies is akin to taking The Red Pill.

Liberals Fail to Support Core American Values

The previous administration spoke a great deal about defending “our values.” But after eight years of Democrat rule, the country slid right and ousted these “value preachers.”

As the Obama-era ground forward, it became increasingly apparent that the values he so confidently spoke of were far removed than those of average Americans. The traditional values of following the law, fair play and opportunity for citizens of all walks of life were noticeably absent.

For instance, in the wake of the violent Ferguson Riots, Obama sanctioned police departments by cutting off their ability to purchase military surplus supplies such as bullet proof vests. Although making a campaign promise to renegotiate the American job-syphoning NAFTA agreement during his 2012 campaign, crickets.

In fact, Obama cowed to the economic will of other nations, and was poised to sign off on the Trans-Pacific Partnership that would have lowered U.S. bargaining power to that of a Third World country. And, the Paris Climate Accord would have opened the door for countries such as China and India to open numerous-coal fired power plants while reducing American energy independence.

Although Fake News media outlets were happy to run cover for Obama and company for eight years, the facts have surfaced that liberal values involve an unequal playing field that favors lawlessness and non-Americans. The 2016 election swing was likely a harbinger to the mass movement of moderate and even liberal Democrats that are taking The Red Pill as a cure.
