The level of “cancel culture” ignorance appears to be setting new records in idiocy. In recent weeks, the rudderless hate-everything movement targeted a monuments commemorating President Lincoln’s emancipation, Gen. Ulysses S. Grant (who won the Civil War), former slave-turned-abolitionist Frederick Douglass, and Hamilton — the musical.
It’s difficult to tell whether the brain-trust at the helm of the cancel culture is asleep or flunked History 101. Regardless of where the truth may lay, left-wing extremists are champing at the bit trying to take credit for #CancelHamilton on Twitter.
“Is it time to discuss canceling #hamiltonmusical? Celebrating a singing George Washington? Singing Slave Owners? #CancelHamilton,” actor Michael Rappaport tweeted.
“To correct the record on June 28th I, started the #CancelHamilton hashtag, on July 1st me, @robvato and David Garlaza wrote the petition and @PresenteOrg created the landing page for distribution,” former Green Party politician and activist Rosa A. Clemente tweeted. “Other organizations we asked declined after Lin Manuel gave them $$$.”
Hamilton Co-creator Lin-Manuel Miranda employs hip-hop musical styling to tell a story about the Founding Fathers. It has been widely popular with the left, and Disney recently donated $5 million to the NAACP and other social justice organizations following the death of George Floyd.
It’s certainly a sad state of “woke” culture affairs when failed political candidates are waving their Twitter account, trying to get credit for canceling a production that was endorsed by former President Barack Obama. The Hamilton cast also staged a show to raise money for Hillary Clinton at a stunning $100,000 per person.
“Hamilton doesn’t exist without the Black and brown artists who created and revolutionized and changed the world through the culture, music, and language of hip hop – literally the idea of the show doesn’t exist,” Miranda said. “It doesn’t exist without the brilliant Black and brown artists and our cast, crew, and production team who breathe life into this story every time it’s performed.”
The co-creator established a reputation as a strong Democratic Party ally and has slung plenty of mud at President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence on its behalf. Despite all the left-wing zealously, Hamilton has come under fire. And while insecure leftists may want to take credit for trashing the theatrical production and Disney film, former Fox News talk show host Megyn Kelly may have lit the match that caused woke Cancel Culture to burn down Hamilton.
Kelly recently tweeted, “Can Hamilton — a show that celebrates America and her founders — survive cancel culture?” Her tweet linked to a New York Post opinion piece written by Karol Markowicz, called “The ‘cancel’ crowd should be gunning for ‘Hamilton.’”
“Hamilton brought together left and right in love of American history and exceptionalism. But that was before the national mania to rewrite history in the image of our contemporary ideologies,” Markowicz wrote. “Can the show pull it off again? Or will actors from the show end up apologizing in tearful Instagram videos about the ‘normalization’ of slave owners in which they participated?”
Needless to say, that set off a social media firestorm among the woke elites. The social media pressure already has the creators apologizing for crafting a positive, pop-culture production about American history, and landing millions for their work. No wonder Cancel Culture ranks right alongside Occupy Wall Street, which accomplished nothing more than vandalism and littering streets and parks.
These people are starting to make ISIS look sane.
None of this has to do with Black Lives Matter. That is just an altruistic sounding “front” to hide it’s real purpose: the systematic destruction of our way of life and the replacement of it with totalitarianism.

This is enough to make one regurgitate! Hamilton is brilliant and deserving of many accolades as most of America’s History of Heroes, Arts and Culture are. Not judging the past by the light of today’s standards should be obvious to every thinking adult. I for one am sick of hearing the overused term ‘racist’ to describe almost everything and the equally sickening ‘woke’. Grow up, work hard and set a responsible example by a good work ethic, morality and integrity in all you do should be the standard..

I refuse to support any organization/corporation that purports to stand with BLM. Please join that effort. Why are we having a Cancel Culture debate to begin with? Why could anyone want to change the US? This nation actually gives it’s citizens a voice in government? Some may say this is because of Socialists and they are probably correct, but has anyone stopped and thought about when this all started? First of all the politicians succeeded in convincing Blacks to speak out about the sins of Whites declaring all Whites are Racists. Statistically this can not be true, but it allow the politicians a platform for the Black vote. Next we had these same politicians claiming that the “Right thing to do” was the Political Correct thing to do. The people believed this must be true, because they were taught to listen to their leaders of government. These people would never lie to them, after all they took their Oath of Office to comply with our US Constitution. The final nail in the coffin of Liberty is our Immigration System. How could immigration have a impact on a nation that values Individual Freedoms? Simple answer: Immigrants who migrated to America do not want to assimilate into the US culture, but want to turn the US into the culture of the “Hellholes” they fled from. The politicians started to give non-citizens a voice, thus now that voice is calling for the removal of our Racist US Constitution and replacing it with Elitist Rule. There was a time when Islam and Socialism were the enemy of every US Citizens because both demand the end of our US Constitutional Republic. Socialism gives the Political Elite the power to decide what is best for the people and Islam goes one step further, it demands we should follow Shariah Law because these are Allah’s Law. US Christians can have their Ten Commandments, but the only laws that are correct for any nation are Allah’s Laws. So when did this Cancel Culture begin? The moment the politicians stopped following the Rule of Law defined in our US Constitution and replaced it with Political Correctness. We pass our laws to defend the innocent as well as the guilty. Rule of Law establishes a structure of Law and Order that should NEVER be dismissed if we as citizens want to remain free citizens. We elect our leadership by following Rule of Law. Apparently Rule of Law means nothing when our politicians can declare a legally elected US President is not their President. The Will of the People is the only correctness this nation must have to governs our nation. The Will of the People defines “We the people of the United States,…..”. These are the first words of our US Constitution. This constitution does not mention non-citizens or the Political Elite. Politicians do not govern the people, so when they mention Political Correctness they are breaking their Oath of Office. If a law does not pass through our Legislative Bodies by majority vote, they can NEVER BE POLITICAL CORRECT.
This is just another major example of how the progressive socialist/communist organizations such as the Marxist BLM, Antifa, the SJW, etc. will turn on each other in a second and eventually eat their own. “Hamilton” became a top box office hit due to who wrote it (a person of color) and who performed it it (persons of color). At the time, the cancelling culture freaks never gave a thought to how the creator of “Hamilton” might be doing something objectionable to others, such as “cultural appropriation”. That’s right, since the real Alexander Hamilton was, God forbid, a white person, and those involved in its creation and production culturally appropriated a part of someone else’s culture. But no one on the “white” side of the fence took umbrage at that. They accepted it without cancelling anyone. It would’ve been entirely different if a white person had created and performed in a production about Frederick Douglas or Harriet Tubman, with a white person playing the lead role. Today, however, since the far left Gestapo has decided that all the historical figures in our history must be judged according to today’s moral code (which to me, is sadly lacking), with all their good works counting for naught, they have decided to “cancel” the musical about which they were so loudly applauding yesterday. My question to you would be–Why are we allowing them to get away with such hypocrisy? Why are we allowing them to be the loudest voices out there? Why are we not boldly and indignantly defending what they are thoughtlessly destroying? The Silent Majority better start exercising their voices, sooner rather than later, or all we hold dear will be lost and we won’t have anyone to blame but ourselves.

George Soros, Tom Steyer, and many , many more politicians should be arrested and tried also.
Haven’t seen or heard “Hamilton,” but anything combining the Founders and their era with “hip hop style music” sounds bloody awful to me. The old musical “1776” on the other hand, was excellent.
