Gosnell Movie Convinced This College Student to Become Pro-Life

Among so many movies that negatively influence society, there is at least one that has been making a positive difference. That movie is titled “Gosnell,” and it is about the dark sides of abortion.

And it is not just people who are already firmly pro-life in their stance on abortion that are responding favorably to the movie.

Kathy Zhu, a college student from the University of Central Florida, says she was pro-choice before seeing the film but is now pro-life. That’s just how moving “Gosnell” is.

Interestingly, Zhu became more well-known leading up to the 2016 presidential election, when she went from being a liberal Hillary Clinton supporter to being a Donald Trump supporter after she took the time to research where the candidates stood on issues like national security. During that process, Zhu gained a large number of Twitter followers.

Now that she has that significantly sized audience, she was able to get the word out to many people about her views on abortion. She penned the following tweet after seeing the film:

Wow. What a way to make a difference and be courageous.

Many of Zhu’s followers responded favorably to her stance.

“Glad you changed your opinion,” one of her followers replied. “The horrors of abortion don’t just end with the death of a baby. Many women suffer deep emotional wounds from choosing to kill their child. Thankfully, there is forgiveness from a holy and loving God.”

And another of Zhu’s followers posted this:

“God bless you. I hope everyone has the same life-changing reaction as you did.”

Zhu is not the only person who has had a change of heart as a result of the story of Gosnell, a medical practitioner who performed abortions. Another person said this on Twitter:

“I was pro-choice but when I first heard about the Gosnell trial and grand jury report in 2011-12 I completely became pro-life.”

“Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer” is the movie’s full title, and soon after it was released, it was doing quite well in theaters. Typically that would mean the movie would continue to be shown in theaters, but that was not true for that movie, as theaters were no longer showing it.

No matter how theaters decide to try to squelch the movie’s message, it is still definitely making an impact on people of various ages and walks of life, including young people like Zhu. That is definitely encouraging news.

  1. The few times the MSM mentioned Gosnell, they framed it as as his clinic having a “few problems” but mostly as an attack on choice. But it figures. The vast majority of abortion clinics do not have emergency lifesaving equipment. When ambulances are called, the crews are told to not call attention to the clinics. Cities tell crews they cannot use sirens within two blocks of the clinics. Clinic operators fight all ordinances that would require them to have a qualified EMT and equipment on hand because it would cut into their profit margin, and hey, if a fetus is disposable, the mother is kinda in the same category if it is a “choice” about costs. ….

    1. any woman who deliberately chooses to slaughter her own child for nought more than convenience is definitely disposable to my mind, and a criminal baby killer who should be jailed

    2. Planned Parenthood is a not for profit organization so not “profit driven” to maximize cash flow. When abortion was declared legal by the Supreme Court they were not quick to start providing abortion. Their work was providing birth control and gynecological care. Ob/gyn doctors were supposed to be the abortion providers. However asshole anti abortion idiots
harassed these doctors and cost the colleagues of these doctors money and disrupted their practices which was enough to get the ob/gyn doctors to back off. It was Planned Parenthood who stepped in to start providing abortions and put up with the disgusting antics of idiotic anti abortion assholes. I see these providers as heroes who work with harassment by asshole anti abortion jerks so these legal services can continue to be provided. One good thing about Planned Parenthood providing the abortions is that they provide birth control so they can help limit the number of post abortion new unwanted pregnancies. I like the Planned Parenthood model so much that I have made it one of my
major charitable organization that I support. The ultimate goal is for women to seek out
birth control prior to getting pregnant and thus reducing the need for abortion.

  2. At the AMC Theaters in Dothan, Al, they are not showing this movie. Many people want to see the movie but do not have access. I emailed AMC to find out where this movie was being shown in their theaters and got no response. Wonder if there is anyone out there that has the pull to get this movie into the Dothan, Al. market?

  3. I tried to post a link to this article on Facebook and they wouldn’t allow me to post it. Claimed it was spam and violates their terms of service. Isn’t interesting that an article about a woman seeing a movie and changing her thinking on an issue violates their terms of service. The only reason I’m still on Facebook is to try to inject a little sanity into their Marxist platform but it’s getting more difficult all the time.

  4. Birth control or abstinence is the ONLY solution if you don’t want to get pregnant. There is also the Morning After pill that keeps the eggs from being implanted.Killing a baby because you were too stupid or lazy is murder. No other name for it.

  5. Outside of one Catholic and one pro-life website, I have heard nothing about this movie from any media source. What I have heard through the two sites is that this movie had one of the highest approval ratings ever from those who had viewed it.
