Israel Boycotts Anti-Semitic Democratic Congresswomen

The leftist extremist Democratic congresswomen known as “the Squad” has repeatedly attacked Israel by promoting bans and making disgraceful anti-Semitic remarks. The Jewish State appropriately banned two of the radical of them from moving forward on a planned visit to the country.

It seems unthinkable that a pair of American Congresswomen would side with terrorist organizations such as Hamas over America’s closest, long-standing ally in the Middle East. Jews established their own country after the Nazis slaughtered millions because of their faith. People who survived the Holocaust built a robust nation out of virtual dust and decay to become an economic and military power.

Relations had been strained during the previous administration as former President Barack Obama cowed to Islamic rulers who called for the destruction of Israel. However, the U.S. recently reaffirmed Jewish sovereignty and Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised President Donald Trump for restoring the intimate bond between the two nations.

Trump was the first and only president to fulfill a pledge to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, and moved the U.S. Embassy to reflect that fact. But the radicalization of the Democratic Party has prompted first two Muslim Congresswomen to push efforts to sever relations with Israel. President Trump urged and supported a denying entrance to Reps. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.

“It would show great weakness if Israel allowed Rep. Omar and Rep. Tlaib to visit,” Trump tweeted. “They hate Israel & all Jewish people, & there is nothing that can be said or done to change their minds. Minnesota and Michigan will have a hard time putting them back in office. They are a disgrace!”

After the Muslim extremist Congresswomen indicated they planned a trip, Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer begrudgingly stated a month ago, they would only be allowed entrance “out of respect for the U.S. Congress and the great alliance between Israel and America.” It was abundantly clear that Israel would prefer not to allow the anti-Semites into the Jewish State. When President Trump made his remarks, that appeared to give Israel the diplomatic leverage its leaders wanted.

“As a free and vibrant democracy, Israel is open to critics and criticism, with one exception: Israeli law prohibits the entry into Israel of those who call for and work to impose boycotts on Israel,” Netanyahu said. “Congresswomen Tlaib and Omar are leading activists in promoting the legislation of boycotts against Israel in the American Congress.”

Despite pressure from international organizations, pundits, and politicians, Netanyahu’s instincts to ban Reps. Omar and Rep. Tlaib appear to be spot-on. The pair have advocated for sanctions against the Jewish State, pro-Palestinian policy, support of Hamas, and an international boycott of Israeli businesses. In the wake of his initial ban, the “Squad” members showed they truly hate Jews and the Jewish State.

“This woman right here is my sity. She deserves to live in peace & with human dignity. I am who I am because of her. The decision by Israel to bar her granddaughter, a U.S. Congresswoman, is a sign of weakness b/c the truth of what is happening to Palestinians is frightening,” Rep Tlaib reportedly tweeted.

“Sadly, this is not a surprise given the public positions of Prime Minister Netanyahu, who has consistently resisted peace efforts, restricted the freedom of movement of Palestinians, limited public knowledge of the brutal realities of the occupation and aligned himself with Islamophobes like Donald Trump,” Rep. Omar said, noting she planned to spend time in anti-Jewish Palestine as well.

Netanyahu laid out the facts in his initial denial that Tlaib and Omar’s itinerary “revealed that they planned a visit whose sole objective is to strengthen the boycott against us and deny Israel’s legitimacy.”

After influential organizations such as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) urged Netanyahu to reconsider banning the sitting Congresswomen, he conditionally rescinded his ban of the anti-Semite Palestinian-American Congresswomen Tlaib based on humanitarian grounds that her grandmother may be dying. She reportedly declined to visit her ailing elder.

“I approved her request as a gesture of goodwill on a humanitarian basis, but it was just a provocative request, aimed at bashing the State of Israel. Apparently, her hate for Israel overcomes her love for her grandmother,” Israel Interior Minister Aryeh Deri reportedly said.
