If it seems like young people hate the country and want to leave — that may be the case. A recent poll shows that almost half of all young registered Democrats have a preference for another nation (sometimes one they have never visited) over the United States.
Thinking other countries exceed the United States as places to live was just the beginning. Many young Democrats polled also stated they would not mind if other countries became world powers or as militarily powerful as the United States.
The poll was conducted by Pew Research, and the results were shocking when it came to young respondents. These young adults feel that other nations are better places to live than the United States. According to the poll, about 36 percent of the young adults polled said that other countries are better than the US. These respondents were between the ages of 19 and 29 and both male and female.
For a question directed at Democrats and independents who leaned to the left; a whopping 47% of those under the age of 30 agreed that other nations are superior to the United States. In contrast, older Democrats (those over age 50) were far less likely to list other nations as better than the US. Just 20 percent of the older Democrats polled said the United States was inferior to other countries.
This poll is not new; it has been completed annually since 2011. What is new is the record number of Democrats who feel the nation is inferior to other places. According to Pew:
“Democrats have become more likely to say there are other countries that are better than the U.S.,” says Pew Research. “In telephone surveys, the share of Democrats saying this is higher than at any point since the question was first asked by Pew Research Center in 2011, and there has been a corresponding decline in the share saying the U.S. stands above other nations.”
The changing results and the demographic breakdown of the answers highlights the ongoing divide between older, often more realistic Democrats and young voters who consider themselves to be progressive and “woke”.
The majority of all adults (61 percent) in the same poll say that the United States should retain its status and might as a super power. This is in stark contrast to the same young Democrats who feel other nations are better than America – for this group, more than half (55%) felt it was fine if other nations became as powerful as the United States.
Poll responses for young Republicans and Independents who lean to the right are far different. Of this group, under 20% of the respondents under 30 felt that other countries were better than the United States. For older Republicans (over the age of 50) only 4% thought another nation could be superior to the United States.
This annual poll is an eye opener for many, and clearly showcases not only a divide between Republicans and Democrats, but between Democrats within their own party. Older and younger adults have clearly different opinions and attitudes and the rift appears to be growing every year.
Democrats Should leave this country, for at least one year.

Most have little or no experience other than their home life, (under momma’s aprons), and have been nor lived any where other than on a short vacation which were basically under the control and expense of mom and pop. This is a telling Poll as to the lost education system we now have. Most of these young people have no back ground knowledge to even begin to form an opinion.

There is an “excitement” to visiting other countries. It’s ALL new. But, to LIVE there? . . . I don’t think so! Just wait until the “novelty” of it wears off. With respect to this polling question to make it a valid question and relevant response, did anyone ask what they were basing their opinion on.
Have they been, visited or lived in the countries they believe are better than US and what % of those 47%, who believe that have visited them?
Or is this just what they have been told or read somewhere. Remember Democrats are not big on first-hand or second-hand information over that which they choose to believe or parrot the nonsense their counterparts tell them without reason or proof…free of bias.
