President Trump Joins Pro-Life March on Roe v. Wade Anniversary

Pro-life advocates are sending powerful and dignified messages about the tragic abortions that claim the lives of unborn children each year.

They do not chant profanities in the street. They do not break windows or throw bricks at peace offers like so many left-wing rallies. Rather, they recently placed 3,000 roses on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court on the 47 anniversary of Roe v Wade to honor the number of babies who will not take their first steps each year due to the high court’s ruling.

“Since that tragic day in 1973, more than 61 million innocent children have been brutally killed by abortion,” the National Pro-Life Center reports. “That number continues to climb as 3,000 precious lives are aborted every day.”

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on the Roe anniversary declaring Jan. 22 National Sanctity of Human Life Day.

“Every person — the born and unborn, the poor, the downcast, the disabled, the infirm, and the elderly — has inherent value. On National Sanctity of Human Life Day, our Nation proudly and strongly reaffirms our commitment to protect the precious gift of life at every stage, from conception to natural death,” the president’s proclamation stated.

The Trump Administration has worked diligently to thoughtfully curtail abortion and block policies that further the practice as a global right. The White House has gone on the record stating it wishes to “dispel the concept of abortion as a fundamental human right. We oppose any projects that attempt to assert a global right to taxpayer-funded abortion on demand, up to the moment of delivery.”

A reported 24 other countries have joined the Trump Administration in this initiative. The president has repeatedly lauded the efforts of those to continue to respectfully further pro life initiatives and make their voices heard.

“Countless Americans are tireless defenders of life and champions for the vulnerable among us. We are grateful for those who support women experiencing unexpected pregnancies, those who provide healing to women who have had abortions, and those who welcome children into their homes through foster care and adoption,” a White House statement said.

According to the White House statement, abortion rates are in decline and teen pregnancy rates have also dropped substantially. President Trump is being heralded as the most pro-life president in history, and accepted an invitation to speak at the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. He will be the first president to attend and speak on behalf of unborn and unwanted babies yet to be born. March for Life president Jeanne Mancini enthusiastically welcomed his presence.

“We are deeply honored to welcome President Trump to the 47th annual March for Life. He will be the first president in history to attend, and we are so excited for him to experience in person how passionate our marchers are about life and protecting the unborn,” Mancini said. “From the appointment of pro-life judges and federal workers, to cutting taxpayer funding for abortions here and abroad, to calling for an end to late-term abortions…President Trump and his Administration have been consistent champions for life and their support for the March for Life has been unwavering.”

A record number of pro-life supporters were already traveling to the March for Life. The president’s much-anticipated presence and speech are likely to swell their ranks by the thousands. Even a one-night political rally by the president garners upwards of 100,000 people trying to secure tickets. Trump will be joined by the Rev. Franklin Graham, who reportedly plans to walk among peaceful advocates for life.

“I’m going to do something on Friday that I’ve never done before — I’m going to march. I’m going to DC to walk in the March for Life,” Graham said. “Why don’t you come join me? I would encourage anyone and everyone who cares about abortion to come, to walk, and to pray. Let’s let the courts, Congress, the media, and the world know what we believe and how important the lives of these children are. Every life matters to God and should matter to us.”

Recent polls indicate a surge in pro-life support. Since President Trump was elected and implemented a pro-life agenda, data demonstrates that the pro-life position has shifted from a 47 to 46-percent minority during the Obama’s last year, to a majority 49 percent over 46 percent. Recent polls also point to a majority of voters wanting increased restrictions on abortions.

  1. Mr President. Way to go Sir!!!! Truly appreciate your stand for life. Thanks for standing up for the voiceless millions killed by those who don’t care about others or themselves. Defund planned Parenthood. If someone wants to murder a child I don’t want my taxes paying for it at all. That’s on them to keep those legs closed and pants zipped up.

  2. Thank you President Trump. Women say that they want to take control their bodies. There are many forms of BIRTH CONTROL…prevention instead of MURDER!

    1. exactly, take control of THEIR bodies, develop a little self discipline & mature, stop bonking for fun and be responsible for the consequences of your own choices and actions – rather than killing an innocent

  3. Thank you President Trump for standing up against the democrats and lefties who want to kill life on a whim. I am very proud that you are the first president to stand up and be counted as a pro-life man. Trump and the Republicans in 2020 to save the USA.

  4. Pres trump is the people’s president and we love him for all he has done for our cty. Thanking him for cleaning the swamp everyday we find out how crooked and hateful the demos really r. Pres trump 2020 and it will be a landslide.

  5. This article gives the impression that Trump is responsible for the declining abortion rate. Not so. The abortion rate has been declining since 1980! According to The Christian Post, citing CDC data, the abortion rate fell by more than 25% between 2007-2016 (Obama administration) among the 47 states that were consistently reporting data.
In a similar vein, Trump takes credit for the expanding economy. Tho some credit to him may be justified, the economy began its upward direction in 2009, Obama’s first year in office. Further, the job growth rate for Trump’s 3 years is still less than Obama’s last 3 years.

    1. I don’t know what you’re smoking, but it has definitely affected your brain. Please stop before you’re totally wasted.

  6. sadly,, in the 21st century alone, 1 BILLION babies globally have been slaughtered by their own mother – we don’t need to worry about enemies killing millions of us, we kill billions of our own babies
