REMINDER: Trump Delivered the LOWEST Poverty Rate in U.S. History

The economic policies implemented by the Trump Administration reduced poverty rates to the lowest ever recorded before the pandemic hit. Details of this breath-taking accomplishment illustrate that President Donald Trump’s America First plan delivered color-blind benefits to people regardless of race.

“The official poverty rate in 2019 was 10.5 percent, a decrease of 1.3 percentage points from 11.8 percent in 2018. This is the fifth consecutive annual decline in the national poverty rate,” the U.S. Census Bureau reports. “Since 2014, the poverty rate has fallen 4.3 percentage points, from 14.8 percent to 10.5 percent. The 2019 poverty rate of 10.5 percent is the lowest rate observed since estimates were initially published for 1959. The number of people in poverty in 2019 was 34.0 million, 4.2 million fewer people than 2018.”

Household incomes improved across demographics such as White, Black, and Hispanic, in a proportionate fashion against inflation. Median earnings by women made gains against men by a rate of 3 percent to 2.1 percent from 2018 through 2019. Unemployment rates hovered at more than 50-year lows of 3.5 percent, with an additional 1.2 million people enjoying year-round employment. Data that distinguishes the Trump Administration’s economic policies from previous ones is that Americans who historically struggled with poverty advanced more quickly.

African-American poverty rates soared as high as 24.2 percent during the Obama-Biden years. In 2019, African-American poverty declined to 18.8 percent, the lowest rate on record. But what may be more telling about the improvement of equal opportunity is that Black poverty rates decreased by 2 percent compared to 1 percent by White Americans. Similarly, Hispanic-Americans saw a decrease of 1.8 percent.

When considered against the overall 1.3 percent decrease and 1 percent by Whites, minority Americans are making up ground due to a major shift in economic policy that focuses on good-paying jobs. Income growth for African-Americans surged by 7.9 percent and 7.1 percent for Hispanic-Americans.

“If you’re a social justice warrior and you’re looking at the data, you would have to say that the Trump years, through the beginning of the pandemic, were the sort-of best years for advances in social justice since World War II,” White House Council of Economic Advisers chairman Kevin Hassett reportedly said.

The fake news media supporting Joe Biden has quickly tried to shift the narrative away from fact-based reports about opportunity, prosperity, and economic justice. Liberals have tried to steer their information toward health care, an issue Democrats believe favors Biden. But even the biased New York Times had to confess that “census figures showed a slight increase in Americans receiving health coverage at work and a decrease in those buying their own policies, suggesting that a stronger labor market could be driving the better coverage numbers.” And government-subsidized Medicare enrollment also declined as employers competed for employees in 2019 by providing coverage and other incentives.

With poverty rates at an all-time low and incomes at their highest since the late 1960s, when adjusted for inflation, President Trump’s contention that his administration has built the country’s greatest economy is supported by facts.

  1. It’s a pleasure to see how well America has done since Pres. Trump has taken charge! It’s certain that the Americans have gained greatly in all areas and are living fuller, more comfortable lives!

  2. The silent majority will “speak” loudly on election day. Landslide victory for Trump! Best advice: Pres. Trump stay the course until Nov 3rd

  3. Law & order, his policies against sanctuary cities that perpetrate homelessness & loss of good paying jobs for American workers, and his international negotiating skills are all I need for him to count on my vote.

  4. His accomplishments are remarkable despite the “Obstructionists” in congress.
He also exposed the despicable “Swamp Rats” in Washington.
Overall, he deserves another 4 years in office. I believe that all law abiding citizens have similar sentiments.

  5. Why wait until the Elections?

✓ Since “Twitter” is allowed to break the law(s),
Censor them with a ” boycott” yes.
When you see “junk” Political postings.
OR, “Unlawful” posts allowed ( Comminicating threats or Democrats not Republicans) but not both sides (of view, coin, road & etc.) Boycott Twitter, just erase like the “Rioter” are doing in/with neighborhoods.

  6. no mater what they try to do to him he still gets done what he say’s he’s going to do.we would be in a worst position if it would have bin biden in office he’s as croked as his son,and became a socialist like peolisie shumer and all most of all democrats.

  7. Never seen such hard working President in my entire life for Americans & for our Country & the fake news left simply ignores it. The fake news thinks we can’t read it, sorry fake news I am not blind to see all these improvements (JOBS & ECONOMY) what this President does for America, we need 4-more years for this President, President Trump you got my & my entire family’s VOTES on Nov. 3.

  8. It’s amazing how the media will go to try to destroy a hard working American like Donald Trump who has our best interests at heart and continues wanting to do the job after 4 long years being attacked by the liberals, media rats and total losers in the Democratic party, those of them who want to again, shut down the country using the virus as a way to hold us all down when the numbers show most of us will only get a mild case of the virus and who knows if the CDC will use the seasonal flu as a way of inflating the numbers. People will pass away, history shows that but it also shows precious pandemics were much worse, maybe the Democrats will push to shut down everything when the flu hits?
Trumps taxes, now why do we need to know them anyway, heck I don’t want my taxes open to view and the IRS is independent of the administration, they will pass judgement good or bad on tax payers so using that as a tool to undermine a good president is crap as well as trying to destroy a good judge who is well qualified to be on the supreme court bench, using her Christian values and children against her, double crap, we must get out and vote Biden and his friends away for good!!!

  9. Our Country has been blessed to have our President Trump in office, we must do everything in our power to ensure that he will remain in office for four more years. I pray that this election will confirm that the vast majority of Americans are in fact
intelligent enough to see what is happening with these domestic terrorists’ that are trying to do to this country what two world wars could not. Please protect the United States of America!

  10. I AM A BLACK NAVY VETERAN WHO LEFT THE DEMOCRATIC PLANTATION YEARS AGO. BECAUSE OF THAT DECISION. “I DON’T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS THAT MONEY CAN SOLVE ! I AM VOTING FOR PRESIDENT “TRUMP AGAIN”

    “GOD BLESS AMERICA”

  11. Goals of the Lie-beral DEMONocrats: Kontinue corruption, koddle illegals, and kill babies= KKK.
Skills of the Lie-beral DEMONocrats: Slinging bullshit, raising taxes, and slinging MORE bullshit.
They are not qualified to run our country, but they do know how to run it into the ground.

  12. Mr. President,
Stand fast, continue to do what you have done for the last 4 years. Our country is in a much better place and shape because of you. Down deep sane people know that putting in Democrats in the white house will lead America off a cliff. High taxes, as Joe Biden said if he’s elected he will immediately bring in 52 million ILLEGALS and give them American jobs, collect social security, as well as any other FREE benefits. Change nice neighbor hoods into low income housing etc. AMERICA, PLEASE THINK LONG AND HARD WHEN YOU VOTE. BY VOTING DEMOCRAT YOUR GIVING UP AMERICA FOR GOOD. WE WILL BECOME A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY, SERVICED BY DEMOCRAT / SOCIALIST / COMMUNIST PARTY. LIFE AS WE KNOW IT WILL NO LONGER EXIST. REAR AMERICANS WILL HAVE NO SAY AT ALL.

  13. Interesting debate tonight. The President was an animal, and Biden just couldn’t handle him. It seems that all the “arrows” the Dems have in their “Quiver” are “Trump lies!” So far I haven’t noticed any lies. Trump went after Hunter Biden, and the former VP could only play the typical “leave my son alone” card. What Trump needs to do is get back to running that video where Biden brags about going to Ukraine and demanding that the prosecutor who was investigating Hunter Biden and Burisma be fired, or in 6 hours he’ll fly home and take a LOT of military aid with him. Biden won that one, but Zelenskiy took the Ukraine presidency (the result of a wonderful semi-comedy Ukraine TV series he produced, “Servant of the People.”) It’s on Netflix, and if you can get through the sub-titles (yes, the dialog is the Ukraine language), you’ll love it.

As for the ATLANTIC publication, I just read most of a pathetic story about how Zelenskiy was himself corrupt, and sold out to Trump. Total trash.

  14. I think the President pushed a bit too hard with his “tough guy” approach. I thought Chris Wallace tried to keep things together, but I can understand Mr. Trump didn’t let him run things. A few months ago Wallace interviewed the President, and when the subject of de-funding the police came up, the President said, rightly so, that Biden was in favor of de-funding. Wallace more than once almost shouted “Sir, he did NOT say that!” True, Biden said that he would redirect some of the funding elsewhere. To me that’s the same thing.

Wallace moderated at least one debate between Hillary and Trump four years ago. I don’t recall much in the way of fireworks then.
